Dear Meda,

Happy New Year! Everything is going fine for my mom. Rose is doing an outstanding job (I should say that more often!) and my mom and I really appreciate her kindness and her skill.

Christmas was so nice, the beautiful decorations, the lovely brunch Lourdes served, and thank you for the photo album and all the delicious cookies.

Sincerely,
Carol Roche

Dear Meda,

I have been wanting all this time to let you know how very much I appreciate all the love and care you and your wonderful staff showed my dear Hal during the month he was with you. I can't say enough for the care and personal concern for Hal's well-being shown by Roger and Lalaine Bernadette - all of the staff. I was made to feel so at home when I came and Hal was always so carefully taken care of- clean and really happy, and so content these I simply cannot thank you all enough.

It was certainly providence that caused Jacky and I to run into you that day at Manor Care. We were feeling so helpless, when suddenly you appeared at the entry as we were leaving. It was meant to be. I have been singing your praises to all my friends ever since. Thank you again.

Most sincerely,
Evie A. .

Dear Roger,

You were my father's primary caregiver at Paraiso Gardens. The family and I are so very grateful for your care. My Dad sometimes told me how you washed him all over and then dried him off, and how refreshed he felt after a shower. He noticed how you remembered to put a handkerchief in his pocket each day. I, myself, saw how you cared for him with such attention, respect, kindness and tenderness. It always touched my heart, and I knew that you know more about compassion than I can ever hope to know. I admire and appreciate the work you are doing there, Roger. The whole family thanks you!

I know my Dad would want you to have some token gift, a very small measure of what you gave to him.

Perhaps one day our paths will cross again.

With gratitude,
Judy Robbins

Dear Meda,

Thank you so much for allowing me to visit your lovely homes. Your residents are fortunate to have such lovely surroundings. Your homes are warm and comfortable and yet spotlessly clean. I would feel very comfortable having a parent living in one of your homes.

As I told you, my mom does have live-in care givers, (a niece aunt combo), and for now, it is working out reasonably well. My mom is still quite active physically and wants to get out and go places. If her circumstances change, I will certainly consider your homes. I realize you might not have a vacancy when I need it, but I have to do what I think best for now. Thank you again for your time.

Sincerely,
Joanne Cunningham

Dear Meda,

I want to thank you, Bernadette and all your staff for the wonderful care that Mother received during her many years (five years in July, wasn't it?) in your Care Home. I am convinced that the excellent care, stimulation, love and the happiness she experienced there kept her going for quite a long time!

And of course, I can't say enough nice things about Yoly - and Ryan, too! She certainly enjoyed that little boy.

You might be interested to learn how I disposed of Mother's five bags of clothes: I called around to less fortunate convalescent homes to see if any of their residents could use clothes. The Martinez Convalescent Home (925-228-4260) was truly thrilled to receive all the clothes. Their residents don't have much and their needs are substantial. In case you want to suggest this idea to other families who have things to dispose of, I listed their phone number above.

Best wishes to you. Do keep up the good work! And, if I can be a reference any time, please feel free to give me a call.

Cordially,
Lois Laine

Dear Meda,

I am writing to thank you for the exemplary care and attention you and your staff, and Lourdes in particular, provided to my mother Evelyn R. Slavin during the slightly more than 4 years she lived with you.

We brought mom to you after trying two prior care alternatives and found her medical and personal care needs to be rapidly increasing and to require the exemplary example and level of care and personal attention your staff provides.

The personal care and extraordinary surroundings made her last years something we will always remember, not only for her sake, but the rapport I personally enjoyed with you.

Should you have clients or State licensing authorities who may request any information regarding your facility or residents' comments, please do not hesitate to refer them to me with for any information I can provide (925-672-1686; sjslavin@aol.com).

Yours Truly,
Steve Slavin

Dear Meda,

On behalf of Dollie's family, I want to express our thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care she received while living at Golden Pond Care Home. While residing at your home, the concern and prompt attention you provided was great comfort to our family.

The outstanding quality of your home is reflected in the skill and compassion of your staff. Joe and Betty were devoted to Dollie's welfare and she was very fond of them. It was very reassuring to know that Dollie was able to remain at her home under Hospice care in a familiar and nurturing environment in her final days.

I would highly recommend your care facilities to anyone in need of quality care for their loved ones.

Again many thanks,

Sincerely,
Norine Dolyniuk

Dear Meda and Bernadette,

I want to thank you for having Dad in your home. I always felt like I didn't have to worry about him there.

When dad went to the hospital, the nurses remarked about his nice hair cut, his excellent skin condition and his nail care. I recommended your homes to them.

Paul and I are trying to clean out Dad's house. He was very organized but had a lot of stuff! Two of his neighbors are interested in buying the house.

Thanks for everything

Love,
Sharon and Paul

Dear Meda and Bernadette,

Thank you for the photos at Christmas - they are great! Thanks also for the pamphlets. It makes mom feel so special. I am so grateful for the terrific care you give mom each day. You are really a blessing for her and our family.

Happy New Year!

Love, Susan Morisetti

To Meda, Bernadette and the wonderful staff at Paraiso Gardens:

Thank you so much for the excellent care and all the love that you all gave to my mother Harriet. She really did come to view your house as her home, and all of you as family.

With thanks,
Joy Faletti

Dear Meda, Bernadette, Yoli, Jordan and the rest of the staff,

Thank you for all the time, love and attention you gave our mother during her final six years. We know it was difficult for you and we really don't know what we could have done without you. You are kind, gentle caregivers and we shall never forget you.

Mom will be cremated and her remains spread in SF bay next week. Our family will be arriving from many different places to help us say goodbye to our precious mother.

Love,
Dottes and Sunny

Meda and Bernadette,

We feel extraordinary blessed that we ran into you in the Manor Care elevator that day in April! It was such a comfort to us knowing my Dad was in your care. If you would ever like to use me for a reference or a glowing testimonial, let me know!

We had a wonderful memorial service for my dad on Monday. There were 80-90 people! After the reception, 40 family members had dinner together at Uncle Yu's in Lafayette.

A wonderful, celebratory day!

Wanted you to see a copy of a note I'm delivering to Roger.

Much much gratitude!
Judy Robbins
